Der Ryder Cup, ist ein im 2-Jahres-Turnus ausgerichtetes Golfmannschaftsturnier in dessen Rahmen die besten Golfer Europas und der Vereinigten Staaten gegeneinander antreten. Benannt nach dem Golffan Samuel Ryder, der Pokal und einen Geldpreis für das erstmals 1927 nur zwischen Golfern aus den USA und Großbritannien stattfindenden Turnier stiftete.
